Tiqets is a Dutch reseller of museum and attraction tickets: you buy on the site or in the app, a voucher lands on your phone, you show it at the entrance. In Florence it has the deepest catalogue of the platforms we follow, but it is not the official box office of any Florentine state museum.
The verdict in two sentences: it works when the slot you need has sold out on the official channel, or when you want admission, audio guide and combo in a single purchase. It almost always costs something more and, on the tickets that matter, it cannot be cancelled.
It suits late bookers who travel with their phone and have no intention of changing plans. It does not suit anyone with two months’ notice who wants the lowest price: that sits on tickets.uffizi.it and the other official channels.
Disclosure: we are affiliated with Tiqets and receive a commission on bookings made through our links. The platform pays it, not you, and it does not change the figures below: official prices come from the museums’ own sites, Tiqets prices from the product feed we keep updated.

What it sells in Florence and for how much
On the Uffizi page Tiqets shows thirteen offers, from the bare ticket to the combo with the Vasari Corridor. Comparing them with the official price list is the most useful thing to do before you buy.

The official Uffizi price list has only two prices: €25 if you buy for the same day and €29 with a date chosen in advance — the €4 difference is the booking fee. From 16:00 it drops to €16 / €20. Tiqets starts at €25 with an audio guide included, so below the official €29 advance sale. The listing does not say which time band that price corresponds to, though: the times appear only once you have picked a date, and that is where you need to check them against the museum’s own list. Reserved admission on its own, by contrast, costs €36: €7 over the official price, whatever the hour.
At the Accademia the gap is wider. The official price is €20 plus a €4 booking fee on B-ticket, that is €24 all in; on Tiqets prices start at €31 and the ticket without an audio guide reaches €36.

Passes and combos are the other half of the catalogue. The Florence Pass at €92.50 (3.9 stars from 2,548 reviews) bundles priority entry to the Uffizi and the Accademia, a choice between Giotto’s Bell Tower and a dome upgrade, the audio guide app and 10% off other Tiqets attractions in the city. At official prices the same three admissions cost €73: the sums only add up if you use the discount too. The full reasoning is on the Florence Pass page, and the pairs discounted by 5% are on combos.

At the Duomo it is a different story: Tiqets appears on the list of B2B resellers authorised by the Opera di Santa Maria del Fiore. Authorised does not mean cheap: the Premium ticket with fast access costs €69 against the €30 of the official Brunelleschi Pass, and the Opera repeats in its FAQs that a “skip the line” service for the dome does not exist.
How booking works
You pick a date and, where required, a time slot; you pay by card or wallet; the voucher arrives by email and stays in the app. Most products are delivered instantly, but some — including the Uffizi ticket with audio guide — are not: confirmation comes later, because the place has to be reserved by an approved agency.
The app is in seventeen languages and keeps tickets offline: that is the platform’s real strength when you are in a queue with your phone in your hand and barely any signal.
Two insider habits. First, the currency follows your location, so force euros before comparing prices, otherwise you are comparing exchange rates rather than tickets. Second, Uffizi tickets are named and the name has to match your ID — type it correctly first time, because it cannot be corrected afterwards.
Tiqets cancellation, refunds and support
The terms are explicit: cancellation is possible only where it is stated in the product description. Where it applies, it normally runs up to 24 hours before; at checkout an optional surcharge often appears that makes the ticket refundable.
In our feed 28 of the 77 Florence products have cancellation set to “never”, and they are exactly the ones you will buy: Uffizi, Accademia, city passes. The product pages spell it out, along with “rescheduling is not possible”. There is no separate service fee, and any refunds due can be claimed up to 28 days after the date of the visit.
Support answers by phone, email and chat. It is the channel most often described in negative reviews as rigid rather than absent.
What the reviews say
At the time of checking Trustpilot gives Tiqets 4.3 out of 5 from 61,124 reviews: 75% five stars, 7% one star. The apps do better, at 4.8 on both stores.
Three patterns recur in the negative reviews: a “fast track” that turns out not to be real priority access at the door, rigidity over refunds when the customer picked the wrong date, and the uneven quality of tours run by third parties. One detail is worth more than a lot of stars: the €36 Uffizi ticket, the one without an audio guide, stops at 3.7 from 1,712 reviews, while the €25 version with the audio guide holds 4.3 from 10,619.
Pros and cons
In favour
- A ticket on your phone in seconds, an app in seventeen languages and offline vouchers.
- A deep catalogue: admissions, combos, passes, audio guides and day trips in one checkout.
- 4.3/5 from more than 61,000 reviews and no added service fee.
- Corporate solidity: a transparent registered company owned by Expedia Group.
Against
- Uffizi admission on its own costs €36 against €29 official; the Accademia starts at €31 against €24.
- The tickets most people want cannot be cancelled or moved.
- The dome at €69 against the €30 Brunelleschi Pass.
- The included audio guide is not the museum’s official one.
Verdict
3.5 out of 5. Tiqets does well the thing it exists for: turning a complicated ticket into a code on your phone, with an app that does not let you down in front of the turnstile. The price of that convenience is real and measurable, between €4 and €12 a ticket at the state museums, and much higher on the dome.
We take off a point and a half for two concrete reasons: the non-refundability of the main products, which leaves the risk entirely with you, and the distance between the Premium prices and the Opera del Duomo’s own list. If you have time and flexibility, buy on the official channel. If the slot has gone or you want the whole thing done in five minutes, Tiqets is the most solid choice among the resellers — and it remains the platform we use as our benchmark for Florence tickets.
Alternatives
For cooking classes, wine tours and walking tours the richer catalogue belongs to GetYourGuide, which also offers free cancellation up to 24 hours before. If you are only after the lowest price on the Uffizi, compare with Headout, and if you want phone support in Italian look at Musement.
Before buying from anyone, though, check the official channel: the Uffizi page has the current price list and the Duomo page explains why the Opera’s three passes have no discounted equivalents.

Frequently asked questions
Is Tiqets legit?
Yes, as a reseller. It is a registered Dutch company (Tiqets International B.V., KvK 59620285) now part of the Expedia group, with 4.3/5 from 61,124 Trustpilot reviews at the time of checking and apps rated 4.8. The voucher arrives straight away and works at the turnstile. Legitimate does not mean official, though: for the Uffizi and the Accademia it resells tickets reserved through approved agencies.
Is Tiqets more expensive than the official site?
It depends on the product. The Uffizi ticket with an audio guide costs €25 against the €29 of the official advance sale on tickets.uffizi.it, but reserved admission on its own costs €36. At the Accademia prices start at €31 against the official €24 (€20 plus a €4 booking fee on B-ticket). The Premium dome ticket is €69 against the €30 of the Opera's Brunelleschi Pass.
Can you cancel a Tiqets ticket?
Only if the product page says so. Tiqets' terms state that cancellation is possible solely when it is set out in the description; in our feed 28 of the 77 Florence products have cancellation set to "never", and those include the Uffizi and Accademia tickets and the city passes.
Is the included audio guide the museum's official one?
No. Tiqets' product pages make clear that the audio guide is not the museum's own: it is a downloadable app (for the combos it is the Vox City Tour of Florence). It works well on your phone with your own headphones, but do not expect the gallery's curatorial commentary.
Is The Florence Pass by Tiqets worth it?
Only if you use all of it. The Florence Pass costs €92.50 and gives priority entry to the Uffizi and the Accademia, one ticket of your choice between Giotto's Bell Tower and a dome upgrade, the audio guide app and 10% off other Tiqets attractions in the city. The same three admissions at official prices come to €73: the pass only pays for itself if you also use the discount and value the time saved.
